Technical Reports

Clear technical reports for window and door complaints and negotiations.

A DMR technical report organises the instruction, evidence, site observations and conclusions into a structured document that the client and other parties can understand.

A report built around traceable evidence

Instruction and background

A concise explanation of what DMR was asked to review and the relevant history supplied by the client.

Documents reviewed

A record of the quotations, specifications, correspondence, photographs and other information considered.

Site observations

Relevant visible conditions, measurements and photographs recorded during any agreed inspection.

Assessment and conclusions

A reasoned explanation of the findings, material limitations and appropriate next steps within the agreed scope.

Not every complaint needs the same report.

A small snagging issue may require only a concise written summary. A multi-product dispute may need a detailed schedule, photographic appendix and closer comparison against the contract. DMR agrees the purpose and audience before quoting.

  • Complaint supportA report can help present technical findings to the supplier or installer.
  • NegotiationClear findings can help the parties discuss repairs, replacement or another resolution.
  • Professional reviewIf a solicitor or other adviser is involved, their required format should be confirmed before instruction.
A technical report records the evidence and opinion within its agreed scope. It does not guarantee a refund, settlement or legal outcome.

The report price relates to preparation of the written document. Any required site inspection is priced separately unless a combined fee is agreed.

Every report is personally reviewed before issue.

Names, dates, product descriptions, photographs and technical statements are checked against the available evidence. Draft factual corrections can be considered, but the technical opinion remains DMR's independent assessment.

Discuss the right report scope.

Send the basic case information first. DMR will confirm whether a report is justified, what evidence is needed and whether a site inspection should form part of the instruction.
