The Problem

Window and door disputes are common. Good technical evidence is rare.

When an installation fails, the customer is often left arguing with businesses that already understand the complaints process. DMR helps turn a difficult situation into a clear, evidence-led technical position.

Problems that may justify an independent review

Installation defects

Poor fitting, failed seals, water ingress, misaligned frames, unfinished making good or products that do not operate correctly.

Product mismatch

The design, material, colour, glazing, opening style or specification supplied may differ from the quotation or contract.

Performance concerns

The promised thermal, acoustic, security or weather performance may not match what was supplied or installed.

A complaint without evidence

Photographs and emails may show there is a problem, but they do not always explain the technical cause or the appropriate remedy.

A strong complaint explains what is wrong and why.

A useful technical position separates each alleged defect, records the available evidence and distinguishes installation issues from product, design or maintenance issues. That gives the other party something specific to investigate and answer.

Evidence should make the problem easier to understand, not simply make the complaint longer.

DMR can begin with a document review, arrange a site inspection where required and prepare a formal technical report when the circumstances justify it.

Send a short summary of the problem. DMR will confirm whether an initial case review, site inspection or another service is the sensible next step.
